the mechanics are easy to explain and the symbology of the cards and game simple, unlike other heavier engine builder games. this is a great intro to engine builders, i think. if you like Splendor, you’ll like this. the octopus theme is cute and creative with the tentacles you’re racing to acquire as you build your engine/tableau. highly recommend this game and it’s simple enough that i’d recommend it for families with kids and has enough variation in set up to add complexity (and replayability), if desired.
